Todays post is about my experience with weight training and building muscle . The expectations and the reality. When i started lifting weight the guys i trained with were big and buff and i was wanted to look like them. I keep training but realized i started gaining a bit of muscle but i did not look like them. It started to make me frustrated like damn what happening i want to be big. Yes with consistent training and hardwork i did get big over time maybe not like them but according to my bodies makeup. So the take home lessons are :
1.) Train with a purpose greater than trying to impress someone with your muscles else you will quit too early
2.) Accept and love your body as it is this will make you realize and accept that everybody's results will be different even if two people do the exact same exercise. For instance imagine someone the wrestler the big show who want to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger in his prime. It really impossible. This difference is the beauty of life there is infinite variety so do not worry about such trival things
3.) Never give up because once you quite you have geniunly failed
